Josh Kyser was
born and raised in Denver, although he tried to run away from home at
least three times before he turned eight. He started playing percussion in
the 4th grade, which made his parents nervous, and picked up the drum set
in the 11th grade, which made them glad he would soon be moving out.
After spending the best years of his life
studying performing arts at the Denver School of the Arts and Metro State,
Josh set out to play the drums in front of people he didn't know. He has
played with Flobots, Bop Skizzum, Potemkin Square, Arouse to Anger, Kush,
Eight Days Missing, Byron Shaw Projex, Judge Roughneck, and others.
Josh digs Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl,
Thomas Lang, Buddy Rich, t.s. Monk, Billy Cobham, Miles Davis, and Max
Roach. Then again, who doesn't. |
